Matt Smith to play Charles Manson in new film

According to "The Hollywood Reporter", Matt Smith is to play notorious cult leader and murderer Charles Manson in a new independent film "Charlie Says".

"Charlie Says" will look at the three women (Susan Atkins, Leslie Van Gluten and Patricia Krenwinkle) who were sentenced to death (And later to life imprisonment) following the 1969 mass murder of Sharon Tate and others.

Matt will be reunited with his former "Womb" (or "Clone") co-star, Hannah Murray who has also been cast in "Charlie Says".

"UNIT - Cyber-Reality" Big Finish Audio - Update and Cover Art


Big Finish have released the cover art and a few more details of the next UNIT audio - "Cyber-Reality" - which is due for release in May 2018:
In this sixth series of UNIT, Kate Stewart will be forced to rely on the Master to defeat a new race of Cybermen. 
The UNIT team face off against the Cybermen in four new adventures out for release in May. 
Although a first for the new UNIT team at Big Finish, Kate Stewart battled against the Cybermen in Doctor Who TV episode Death in Heaven. And now it’s time for round two! 
Joining Jemma Redgrave as Kate Stewart and Derek Jacobi as the War Master, are the whole UNIT team: Ingrid Oliver as Osgood, Ramon Tikaram as Colonel Shindi, James Joyce as Josh Carter and Warren Brown as Sam Bishop – with Nicholas Briggs as the Cybermen. 
The four new missions in UNIT – Cyber-Reality are: 
6.1 Game Theory by Matt Fitton
6.2 Telepresence by Guy Adams
6.3 Code Silver by Guy Adams
6.4 Master of Worlds by Matt Fitton

"Twice Upon A Time" - Audience Appreciation Score


"Twice Upon A Time" had an Appreciation Index score of 81 - close to the previous Christmas Specials "The Return of Doctor Mysterio",  "The Husbands of River Song" and "Last Christmas" which all had a score of 82.

The Audience Appreciation Index (AI) is a score out of 100 which is used as an indicator of the public’s appreciation for a show. Over 90 is considered exceptional, 85 or over is excellent, 60 or less is poor, and less than 55 is very poor.

The AI scores for Series 10 are below:

"Twice Upon A Time" - Overnight Viewing Figures


The overnight UK viewing figures show that "Twice Upon A Time" had an audience of 5.66 million (fifth most watched for the day) giving it a 29.1% share of the audience.  As a comparison, last year's Christmas episode, "The Return of Doctor Mysterio", had 5.68 million, a 27.1% share in the overnights and was the eighth most watched programme.

The Christmas Day overnight top 10 is as follows:

Mrs Brown's Boys - 6.8 million
Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special - 6.5 million
Call the Midwife - 6.3 million
EastEnders - 6.3 million
Doctor Who - 5.7 million
The Queen - 5.3 million (BBC only)
Coronation Street - 5.1 million
BBC News - 4.2 million
The Highway Rat - 4.0 million
Emmerdale - 3.7 million

The consolidated viewing figures will be released next week.
